As a result of strong demand from the thriving whiskey industry a large bonded warehouse facility was sought on the outskirts of Brora. Suller & Clark lead the development Team including architects, landscape architects and roads engineers to develop a carefully considered scheme to minimise the impact on the landscape setting. The application was recommended for approval from the Planning Service. The application received a high level of local opposition and was refused by the Development Management Committee of Highland Council. Suller & Clark then lodged an appeal to the Directorate of Environmental and Planning Appeals who overturned the Council’s decision and granted planning permission.
